Message	ive put them on two cars now, lube is your best friend... the first time i just used some grease and my two index fingers in the large hole on the bottom to spread it while holding the rod between my legs(no homo), the second time i used pliars to spread it appart. the rubber is rather tough and didnt tear at all but i was still careful with it though.
