Message caries weight with it. The lower tie bar (aka, radiator support is actually somewhat weak on the 300zx, and to make it worse sometimes people will have this unit furtherly weakened after someone has used it as a jack point once or twice. So once the suspension is lifted up off the ground it has a tendancy to sit differently as a whole assembly.

I never noticed that until I used a laser point frame machine to verify it one time when working on a impacted 300zx, who got smacked in both rails.

Leave the car on the ground, clean up the area and then bolts it all up. I like to use a lock washer as well and torque them down to spec. Should be good after that.
