There have been many a time where the easy-out was anything but easy... however, a wise man once showed be a couple of tricks... 1. after inserting the easy outs, tap the back of it with a hammer as you turn it. this also works for those stubborn screws that wont turn. 2. thread penetration fluid (not WD40-i can't remember the name), let it soak and try step 1. 3. after drilling the hole for the easy out, get a blow torch and heat up the broken screw a bit. Then proceed with step 1 if it's not budging...
