| So this morning I went to Auto Zone and bought a radiator cap. Before you get on me, I will be buying an oem or nismo one to replace the one from autozone. I opened up the cap as well as the plug on the left side of the rad and started the engine again. I remember being told to add distilled water since in CA you dont need so much anitfreeze. As the engine ran I filled the rad with distilled water. ONce full just left running until the car warmed up. Once warmed up, I reinstalled the rad cap and plug. I then revved the engine allowing to simulate driving conditions. Left car running for 20 min as I revved and left it @ idle. Car stayed and normal conditons. I did check the top hose you guys asked, and yes it was warm. Is that a good thing or bad thing? As of right now it is not overheating. I will be lowering it this week and driving it around to see if the overheating continues. Yes I still think it might be a head gasket but I am waiting to see if I will be staying in the states for a few more years or parking it for a long long time as I go back overseas. If I leave then I will be saving as I am overseas to redo the whole engine while the motor is out. Any more info would be great. Thanks again. BTW, would the rad cap have caused the overheating? Rigo
