Message Brand new rebuild, started perfectly, timing set to 15* etc. Hunts a bit for idle at warm startup, so I could tell I had a boost leak right off the bat.

After performing a leak test, brand new sport 700 is leaking at the Compressor housing to backing plate flange connection, the side facing the frame rail. Especially around the 2 o'clock bolt position, which is TIGHT. My thinking is that after clocking the turbo, maybe the torque sequence wasn't perfect? That's as far as I would be able to speculate. I don't think these garret's have O-rings in the flange anyways.

After I get this delt with, off to paint, then just need to track down my 4th wheel that didn't get dropped off yesterday and we'll be good to go - yeahp, it's been going well recently! :P

"It seems like a lot of bolts have been omitted... Judging by the
amount of them in the 'random fasteners' bag. I am beginning to
think my Z is being held together by zap straps"
