down time. Mine were not leaking, but I wanted more stiffness from them. I installed subframe spacers and hated them. I felt every road vibration and heard every noise. I didn't want to go through installing new bushings, and also wasn't sure they would be any stiffer. Here's what I did: I lowered the subframe at all 4 points, but kept all nuts on a few threads. I then removed the nut, one corner at a time, and squeezed grey silicone in the areas above and below the bushing. I used about one tube on each bushing. I then tightened the subframe back up to the car and let it sit for a day. The result was perfect for me: stiffer than stock, but nowhere near hard as a rock, like those subframe spacers. It's cheap, quick, and won't get in the way when/if you ever want to replace the bushings. (not sure why you'd ever want to, unless, over a period of years, the grey silicon disintegrates).
