The PCV pipes have been relocated to the top of the intake valve covers where they are much less likely to have oil slosh up into them. This is good, but there is still an air/oil mist up in there that can float out. The SS scrubbing pad acts as a screen that the oil mist will collect on instead of floating out the top of the valve cover.
It fits under the baffle like so. WARNING: If you get your valve covers powder coated you should at least remove your baffles and clean under them before reinstalling them on the car. The powder coating and bead blasting media gets stuck up under there and WILL damage your motor."
