Tools needed. Snap ring pliers A socket set Small beveled chisle Dead blow hammer Cleaner of your choice Flat head screw driver Start with the transmission your not going to be using to get familiar with everything. I"m only posting pics of the separation of the first transmission. To put it back together just reverse the order and make sure you have the snap rings seated good. Start by removing the check ball plug, spring, and check ball. Then remove the interlock stopper. The plug is in red, the stopper is in yellow. If you remove the stopper first the ball will fall into the case and you'll be looking for it later. There are different size ball bearings for different years of transmission. Keep the assembly with the gear box it came from.
 Remove the front cover and gasket via 9 12mm bolts. Use the chisel or a flat head screw driver to remove. Come in from the clutch fork opening to get a good angle for removal 
Here's the part that people don't like to fool with. If your not used to dealing with snap rings the can be a pita. Remove the stopper snap ring and ring and the main drive bearing snap ring. Stopper snap ring and ring

 Then remove the 12 14mm bolts holding the bell housing to the adapter plate, and rear extension. Rear extension yellow, adapter plate red, bell housing green
 The bolts to be removed. There are more as you go around that seam.
 Tap the bell housing with a dead blow hammer and pull it apart. You may need to get the chisel and lightly separate them. I say use the chisel because it is wider and less likely to mess up the mating surface. If you have the parts this is the time to change seals and bearings that you think may need changing. I would at least check them to see is everything is rolling smooth. On assembly use common sense and make sure you put sealant where it should be. There is no gasket between the adapter plate and bell housing. Its RTV from the factory. The front cover has a gasket but you can use rtv instead if your impatient and didn't pre order the gasket. It doesn't change shaft play or lash inside due to everything being seated via snap rings. Just make sure you get the snap rings seated in there grooves good. They most likely won't just pop right in. May have to tap them with a brass drift or a piece of wood. When reinstalling the interlock stopper. Make sure you assembly the interlock stopper, then the ball bearing, spring, and plug. Put sealant on the plug threads. If I've missed any thing feel free to point it out and i'll redo it with corrections.
