I actually just finished a very similar battery relocation project. I mounted the battery in the same location as you, drilled a hole in the same place in the firewall, and ran both a starter cable and an accessory power cable. The main differences in my setup are that I also installed a starter solenoid in the trunk, next to the battery, so that the wire running to the starter isn't always hot. It bothered me to know that if I was in a side-impact collision, that wire might short to ground and cause a fire or explosion. With the way I have mine set up, that thick starter wire only gets powered when I'm actually starting the car. I also installed a 140 amp circuit breaker on the accessory power wire, both for safety and so I can quickly 'disconnect' the battery with a push button, for when I'm working on the car. Also, from your engine bay picture, it looks like your starter cable comes out of the firewall and then heads DOWN towards the starter. I didn't run my cable this way because I was worried about it melting on the downpipes. My starter cable comes out of the firewall, then goes up and mounts in the stock bracket at the top of the engine bay, then moves to the back center of the engine, and then goes down into another stock bracket mounted at the bottom center of the engine. I also installed the heat shielding from the stock cables onto my new cables, again, to keep the power cables from melting.
