| I've been having a problem after I swapped another engine into my Z. I have searched through post after post about idle issues and I haven't found the cause of my idle issues yet. It appears I am boosting just fine, right around 10psi on stock turbos. However when I am idling I can tell it's running like there is a vacuum leak. I've boost leak tested it multiple times and I found and fixed 3 leaks. Now when I boost leak test it, I don't hear any leaks and it holds pressure for a bit longer. I don't know exactly how long it should hold.. but it holds longer than it did before thats for sure. When the car is running, I can hear a 2 places where it sounds like I might have a vacuum leak. First is the IAA/IACV. When I boost tested I didn't hear anything at all, so the gasket couldn't be leaking. But when it's running there is a leak sound. I am wondering, is this air just passing through on the inside? or is there a place that it could be leaking internally? 2nd is in the front of the engine by the passenger side exhaust valve cover close to the timing belt. I cant tell if this is a leak or something else. Are either one of these locations likely to pass a boost leak test but leak with vacuum is applied?
