Then connect a 12v lead to the new pump. (safer to run toggle of some sort), Then connect negative batter or negative lead. Make sure bucket you are using has a towel or somthing at the bottom so it doesn't splash everywhere and needless to say but make sure this is WELL far enough away from the arcing electrical connection
