Message :a bad injector. Maybe the rough idle is not related to the fuel smell. Are you getting black smoke out the exhaust? Make sure you have a bad injector before tearing it apart. If you tear it apart, do all that Eric says. ... Fuel smell is more likely a fuel leak in one of many possible places in the engine bay. Do the paper towel or talcum powder test to find it.

I am not getting any black smoke from the exhaust That I can tell. I will check again to night.

Would a fuel leak cause a rough idle or misfiring. I have alwasy had the fuel smell since I bought this car three months ago, but it ran fine.

is there a write up on the paper towl test or Talcum powder test on finding Fuel leaks?
