| when the butterflies are closed. It adjusts idle speed by allowing a small amount of airflow to bypass the butterflies via the AAC valve. It does this by rapidly 'pulsing' the AAC solenoid (on/off/on/off). When the AAC valve is dormant, it is in the closed position. The ECU senses engine speed via the CAS for AAC valve control. If you are having problems when you are getting off the throttle, you may need to adjust your 'hard idle'. It may be set too low and the revs are dropping too quickly for the ECU to catch it. Sometimes you need to ignore the rpm and set the hard idle where the motor is 'comfortable'. If you have a 'tunable' ECU, I would suggest looking at your TTP Min. The factory settings are generally adequate for most cars.
