value the stock gauge gives you, it is approximate. Apart from the fact that it isnt entering the boost side, it sounds like it is working fine. You just need to deduce whether you are actually building boost or if something is amiss with the gauge/sensor.I would find and trace the signal line it uses to get the boost/vacuum reading first. Verify there are no leaks/cracks/cuts etc. Then find a cheap gauge to test it with and a small section of vacuum hose so that you can "T" the cheapo handheld gauge into the balance tube and see for sure what it should be doing.
"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of "liberalism", they will adopt every principle of our socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without ever knowing how it happened.... I no longer need to run on the Socialist Party ticket because the Democrat Party has now adopted our platform." --Norman Thomas, 1944 Socialist Party Presidential Candidate "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." --Winston Churchill
