| Ok here is the story, a friend was on the freeway and dropped it in 3rd ( going about 55 mph ) to past this other car. When I look behind him I see this big pillow of smoke. The car still pulled fine on the way home. The turbos are new, he had got them from Coz about 6k ago/ 1 year ago. He also replaced all the hose and pcv valves water pump and did a 120k 6k ago. the car has only 67k on it. His dad bought the car new and now he owns it. Upgrades: 740cc 2.5 down pipes 2.5 test pipes 2.5 H-pipes 2.5 Thrust Mufflers Dual Maf's Selin Translator Boost controller set at 13lbs His car is tuned. Things I have did recently: I did a power balance test and notice #6 did not make a difference if I unplugged the coil pack. We checked and change the coil pack. No difference. Changed the spark plug and it was BLACK. installed all new spark plugs and the car was running fine but still smoking. I will check the spark plugs tomorrow and do a compression test. What else can I look for? We replace his test pipes with the Factory Cats to see if that would get rid of the smoking. I read that straight through exhaust can mess up the seals in stock turbos. I know the problem with the smoking is on the drive side of the engine, He has deleted the AIV and when we installed the factory cats you can see the smoke coming from out of the driver side of cat for the AIV and not the Passenger side. Video of smoking: [ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjoQKNJLPb4 ] Ok so here are my findings from today: 1: Oil in the upper plenum on both sides. Photo of shop towels with the oil I had removed from Plenum
Spoke with a very well known Z tuner earlier today before I checked out my friends car, and said that the pcv re-route is not a good thing to do.
When I put my friends car back together I will do a delete, like my car. 2: All spark plugs are good with the exception of number 6, has OIL on it.
Bottom Right #6
#6

3: Oil in the intake pipes 4: Compression is 147-153 on 1-5 and 40 on #6 5: Oil in the radiator. Blow head gasket. Photo of crap that was in the radiator
Some what useful photo of the fill neck of radiator
My question is what all can be wrong?
I know head gasket. But what about the rings on #6 and the driver side turbo? Thanks for the help
