Posted this yesterday "I put a new alternator in and after I started the car the temp gauge stayed at dead cold for a long time. then it started climbing to normal and then on up and up to just under very hot top of gauge. Slowed down and the temp dropped a bit. turned engine off and waited a few minutes and the temp gauge read much cooler than it would take for the engine to cool.. but I still am thinking the engine is over heating so I take it home. I go and replace both temp sensors on the goose neck and I'm still having temp gauge problems. I still believe the gauge is malfunctioning but it is unnerving that it is pegged on HOT. Any ideas how to fix?"Well I read all th temp gauge posts and how erratic and unreliable they wer so even though it bothered me Im driving to work this AM and The temp gauge goes up and I'm cruising along fine when POW coolant is blown through the air purge plastic plug on top right side of radiator! What is causing this? It has a new water pump, radiator cap 16lbs, a new thermostat, new temp sensors on gooseneck both the gauge and ECU sensors. what could have caused this??? Need help.
