I tried the dremel method to remove the old hose that's crimped on, and I put a new hose and hose clamp in its place. Seems like that method works for pretty well for others, but it didn't work out too well for me. 
Anyone have a plan B? What about a compression fitting? I've also seen recommendations to flare the line, but it seems like it might be very difficult to do that with how little room there is to work.
