Message I did not check timing before with a light. When I said attempted, that means it has been done, but I am not successful because it does not run well.

When i put the timing belt back on, the lines on the belt lined up with the dots on the pullys, but I always questioned the marks on the covers especially the crank.

:missed a tooth or 2? First check the static timing at the crank with a light, should be 15 BTDC. One check on if you put all back together correctly is that the static timing will be the same as before the work was done provided you know the before timing?
:You say did or attempted to do. Which ones in the list did you not do but attempted?
