Okay I picked up one of these flux core welders this past weekend hoping to weld up some sheet metal or atleast teach myself to lay some decent welds on some practice scrap metal first before i ruin my work piece. My problem is all the spatter or globs of weld that get layed down when i try to lay a bead of weld. Ive watched videos on youtube ect... and tried to copy the technique ect...but still im laying globs or spatter and no nice bead. If anyone outthere has some tips for me and possibly some others on here that have bought this welder ...please let us know. Should i change the wire out? someone has said a better quality wire could weld better.
