Message I did the lifter rebuild as per the write up by Ash . I must say it was a great write up but my end product has left me wondering if all is well . I did have to rob a few lifters from my old heads due to pitting and so forth but ended up with a nice set . what iv noticed and tried to show in my pics is that the newly rebuilt lifters ( all of them ) seem to sit alittle higher ( inner body ) than the old ones . maybe its due to them being rebuilt and primed with oil vs. being bleed out dry with only the spring as tention, but i wanted some input before continuing.

the lifter on the left is rebuilt, the one on the right is not

the lifter on the right is old , unprimed and sits just about 2mm lower than the main body rim .

i also polished the caps and cleaned the two holes on top with a 30 g needle ( most of mine had buildup or were completely blocked ). not mentioned in the write up .
