Message Sorry for double post,

Thank you all for input.

My last question is can a timing belt, that is off by 1 or 2 teeth present itself as a loss in power with no other symptoms? And if the timing belt is off by 1 or 2 teeth, am I destroying my engine if it runs?

I've accepted the fact I'm going to have to go digging in my engine again :( Just want to know what I'm looking for.
