:Yeah it would seem it would be timing related. So yeah checking timing marks would be first thing I'd do...then check base timing. :But why would he have adjusted the CAS during his timing belt installation. He would not have unless he did so in error. So his base timing should be set identical now as it was previously. :Begging the question...did you mess with the position of the crank angle sensor? :Anyhow...symptons are similar to a slipping clutch too. RPM goes up quicker than it should, less power going down to the road. But you know...since you were working on the timing belt, you'd think it was up front. :Yeah I never messed with the position of the CAS, I didn't think it neccesary to check it with a timing light since I didnt move it. With that said however, I tried tweaking it in either direction, didn't help anything. I thought slipping clutch as well, but I'm not hearing any of the noises that go with it, also the rpm's go up more SLOWLY than they ought too, like the whole engine is just being slow. Is it possible to have a mis-aligned timing belt with the only symptom being a loss of power? I really don't want to re-drain the radiator and all that crap just to triple check it. :(
