anywhere. In fact, the only 8 pin IC chips i see are: On the smaller daughterboard: NEC C277C On the larger mainboard: 5233 0X4 5233 063 945B 0X1 I'm starting to think it may be located in the device to the right of the ECU. It has to be somewhere - maybe this is why changing ECU's does not solve the problem. I found a very detailed schematic of the actual ECCS (ECU) which shows the pinouts on the ECU and how they connect to the check control (OBDI Port): Furthermore according to this pic - pin 31 on the ECU goes to "Diagnostic Power". When I try to trace it it doesn't seem to go to any of the IC's. I think someone needs to trace out where these OB port leads actually are going. I couldn't really determine this from any of the wiring diagrams Here are the other IC's I saw: Daughterboard (JECS) - A19-051M00 NEC PC451C 14 PIN (Two of these) NEC C277C 8 PIN Mainboard (JECS) - A19-001 MII A19-257 009 9042KK005 60pin A19-257 012 041100 60 pin HITACHI OD1 J HD63C03YCP 60 PIN HITACHI OK1 SJ HD63140CP 60 PIN TD 045 62709F 16 PIN 5233 0X4 8 PIN 5233 063 8 PIN 945B 0X1 8 PIN MITSUBISHI 5224 04E0 14 PIN NEC 1074G 16 pin
