Subject	Battery relocation...vent needed ?

Message	I'm relocating my battery to the spare tire well. I'll be building up the carpet deck so everything will be even...albeit not as deep of a hatch area. With an optima or odyssey type battery, do I need to run a vent hose from the plastic battery box that the battery will sit in to the outside of the car ?
