Message As the subject says, I want to flush the coolant passages on this used motor I have sitting on my stand. Compression & leakdown are in good order on this motor.

I have the water pump out, thermostat out, turbo's off, upper & lower plenum off.

It is basically just the block & heads at this point.

Any suggestions other than flushing hot water through?

The only reason I am doing this at this stage was this motor had turbo's that were completely shot. Upon removing the turbo's I discovered that the coolant lines to them were filled with gunk and the turbos were not getting any coolant to them. In fact, the turbos were filled with gunk in the coolant galley as well.

The last thing I would want is for my new turbo's to get clogged with the same gunk resulting in failure.

Thanks in advance.
