Message	"I set the little guy to the 200 mark at the bottom of the scale" He had it set to 200 Ohms. And, you could have altered the dial, or put an arrow pointing to the 200 Ohms mark so he'd be able to doublecheck where he had it set. OMG a MULTI-meter, what's that?
