Message The way the lights work is that they get both get 12V when the lights are on, and the switch is actually deciding which one to ground. Therefore if you permanently ground the low beams, when you flash or turn on the high beams the lows will stay on.

Ignore the directions involving screwing around with the high beam wiring, as well as the ones involving shorting wires behind the switch pod. The cleanest way to do it involves grounding a pin on the LOW beam relay under the hood.

I *believe* it's the center pin on the relay; if you can't find it I can check my car. I used a piece of wire a few inches long with a ring terminal on the end, attached under the bolt holding the fuse box to the chassis. Works like a charm and cost me 10 minutes.

I've had no issues with extra current draw btw; I do have higher current fuses which came with my HID kit but it's like 15 or 20A instead of 10 for the initial surge at startup (nothing the wiring can't easily handle).
