Message	sensor only causes safety mode when there are factors that can cause detonation. The factors can be anything and many to boot. I know you have said it twice and I hope he listens. Still though he does need to figure out why it happened and that means check your injectors, coil packs, wiring and everything to see if some how something may have caused it. Maybe the overheating once caused it to happen.
