I haven't been on this site in a while because I've been focusing on my other car. So anyway, my TT has been sitting for a little less than a year. I decided to get it out last week and all it took was inflating a flat tire and jump-starting and it cranked right up, idled great, and ran fine. I didn't actually drive it far because I don't have insurance on it but I did drive it up and down my road and it did fine with no sputter, hesitation, or anything. Yesterday I pulled it up onto my driveway to wash after almost a year of sitting. I cranked it up, parked it, and washed it inside and out. When I got done I had to jump it off again because I had the doors open and never drove it far enough to charge the battery. It cranked fine and I drove it around the driveway and decided to look at an oil leak it has so I started to back down the hill to get to my garage and about half way down the hill the car just cut out. Didn't sputter or try to stay on, just cut out. I rolled down to level ground and tried to crank it but nothing works. So I've checked fuel, I know its getting air, and I had it hooked to a running car to jump it off so the battery shouldn't be a factor. What could have happened to do this so suddenly? And how do you use starting fluid on a turbo car? Any help is much appreciated, thanks in advance.D
