I posted a message earlier in the week and still need some help.
Here is the problem: cylinder 1 and 5 do not seem to be firing. 3 is again for some reason. Earlier in the week, it was smoking (running rich, not oil smoke). Today no smoke and 3 seems ok.
I changed out the ptu and no change, grounded plug in coil pack 1 and it is making a spark.
Plug has fuel on it.
Compression is good.
New Harness.
New injectors.
New computer.
Had problem with computer shorting out and #1 failed twice before. (had bare wire on my old harness, so thought that might be the problem) This is my third computer and third upgrade by ASH. It originally ran great for about 200 miles before this, so I don't think its anything that ASH has done.
I guess I can try my friends JWT computer to see if it is the computer again, but what would keep shorting the computer out. Especially #1. #5 never acted up before, but pulling the plug on the coilpack does not make a difference. Also noticed that the wire on the detonation sensor is broke, but it is the one that doesn't go anywhere, just wraps around the other wire. Don't think this would affect it like this. Anyone have any ideas, don't want to have to replace the computer again and again.. This car is becoming my nightmare. I need some expert help. Thanks, you have all been awesome in the past!
