Message	attaches, or you can even leave it attached and just pull it through the hatch as you remove it by disconnecting all the hardware in the hatch itself. I believe there are just 4 bolts, 2 on each hinge, plus one on each strut. It's a pretty simple removal. Cheers, JBrobst
