I drove my slicktop the other morning, rounded a corner and speed up to about 40mph. I noticed the speedometer needle dropped down to 0mph a couple of times and then rested and zero. That's where it stayed for a couple of miles when it shot to 20mph once and then stayed dead. WTF!!!!!!!! I know someone has had this happen to them. So what might be the first thing to check? Connector, gauge itself, speed sensor? It did rain that night and morning but I don't think that could have had anything to do with it. Any insight is welcome.
