Message the edges of the machined surfaces were smooth and clean, I put in the lower insulator and put a consistent bead of copper liquid gasket between the outside of the insulator and lower plenum seat. I waited just short of 24 hours for it to set and then pressure tested each lower plenum intake tract to 20psi without any leaks.

I can't say how it will hold up in the long run, but after 10,000KM since installation there are still no boost leaks.

I'm sure people will frown on this installation, but I also noticed when installing everything that the original Pintle styled lower insulator wrapped perfectly around the newer styled lower insulator and sat perfectly in the seat on the lower plenum.
