First of all, thank you to everyone who walked me through this process, this was my first engine rebuild and to make it even more if a PITA it was a Z. The japs did not waste an inch of space with this car. All of the input you guys gave me really helped me get this car back to its natural mechanical state. I still have a couple questions concerning the EGR bypass that I did. The EGR solenoid is still intact and plugged in, and of course doing nothing, but should I tweak my ECU to compensate for the missing EGR? is there any performance/ millage drain that can be associated with it missing? Also, I plan on sanding and repainting, as well as pulling out the dings and "bondo-ing" where this is impossible, does anyone know the amount of paint I should order, as well as clear coat. The rebuild broke the bank and I don't want to buy more paint then I need. Also, what is everyone's opinion on reupholstering yourself with kits available on the internet? I want this to be a car I can be proud of, because its going to be the show car for a hydrogen fuel cell I have created that I plan on marketing locally. Any tips to get this car aesthetically in shape on a budget would be greatly appreciated, but I don't want to cut corners on quality, so I am willing to spend more then I would want too.
