Subject	Power steering problems

Message	I own a 92 z32 2+2 and after my 5spd swap the car ran great but recently the car has had rough steering. When I turn the steering wheel the steering seems to get harder and harder as I get closer to the max the steering wheel can turn. There are no sounds coming from the pump or the belt and I checked them already for fluid and tightness. It also does not feel like I have no power steering at all. My friend told me that the seals in the rack where probably leaking, but I thought maybe it was the electrical control for the variable power steering. This car also has 167 k miles. any help on this situation would be much appreciated. thanks
