| I did mean to say "flat mounting bracket" in place of most of the times I said "slider". You are right in that the sliders do look universal, and they are mounted to the flat bracket that is specific to the Z32 seat mounting points(your flat mounting bracket probably has a sticker labeling it as a 90-96 300ZX model). There would be no way to sturdily mount anything to the Corbeau sliders. I did drill in the flat mounting bracket, as you surmised. If you drill in a wrong spot you can always re-drill another hole to adjust where the seat belt receptacle mounts(to fit your seating position exactly). If you go this route I would get the position right the first time, and be sure to drill the right size hole for the seat belt receptacle and mounting hardware(Grade 8 locking nut and bolt). ***First you tighten up the seat belt receptacle with the grade 8 hardware,(horizontally and on the bottom) then you forcefully bend it up and vertically into its final position. It sounds very unconventional and "rigged", but this was the best way I could find to mount the stock seat belt. I do not know of anyone else mounting their seat belts this way, so take what I have said with a grain of salt.
