yes! check all vacuum lines, a lot of the times if you have stock piping the rubber will have a vertical crack that you cant see and wont open until under boost, there may be an ecu code especially since the car could be thrown into safety boost which very well could be whats happening, the det sensor could probably do that try cleaning the connector, it may be throwing a code without the check engine light too there are only a couple of codes that throw the check engine light, or the stock boost gauge is just off which is very possible since they dont have a very good history of being accurate,
