:That is to say, an automatic transmission needs its connectors hooked up and a computer telling it what to do, but a manual transmission needs no instructions. I can't speak to whether there are any secondary differences like a plug for something else being in a different location and the harness not reaching, but the one thing I can think of to check is how you'll handle the clutch switch. :Also, I really hope you're making your new connections with good soldered joints, then sealed with heat shrink tubing, and protected with electrical tape. Anything else is just plain lazy, and downright wrong for something as critical as connecting the whole harness to the ECU.yes that is the way i am going to do it plus im staggering all the joints so that no 2 are side by side. this is the whole reason i told the kid to get a harness because of the hack job that was done to it by the previous owner. wiring and fuel delivery are 2 things that should never be skimped on because either could mean disaster. thanks for the info.
