| Pretty much the entire process is done standing behind the car reaching in and around. 1. Remove the center interior panel that houses the hatch latch (hey I'm a poet and didn't even know it!) striker.
2. Remove the 2 smaller panels to the left and right of the center panel that allows you to gain access to the tail light bulbs. 3. Remove the larger panels that curve around the sides of the hatch area. (This may not be necessary, but probably makes things easier) 4. Unplug all 3 harnesses going to the tail lights (one connection per panel). 5. Take off all the nuts holding the lights to the car. There are 10mm x4 on the left and right and 10mm x6 for the center panel. Note: The center panel has to be removed first. There is a holding stud in the middle that should break free when you start pulling it out. Note: There is sealant that supposedly needs to be heated up for removal. 6. Pull off the left and right side pieces. The left side has a wiring harness with a light blue plug clipped to the side of the light. You don't have to unplug the connection, just unclip it from the light. 7. Remove the assemblies by trying to pull from the outside of the car and push from the inside at the same time. That black sealant/glue is super sticky and is a mess to clean up. Be sure not to get it everywhere. 8. After you remove the tail lights use a plastic scraper or the equivalent to remove as much of the old butyl sealant as you can. 9. Take the new roll of sealant and roll it all the way around the body opening careful not to stretch it too much. Be sure where the 2 ends meet back up there is no gap. 10. Install the new seals that go around the two openings for the center section. 11. Re-clip the blue plug on the new left side assembly. 12. Install the left and right side tail lights. 10mm x4 each side 13. Install the center section. 10mm x6 14. Plug in all the connections. 15. Replace interior panels. 16. Enjoy the new look.
