Message Just looking at potential tire purchases. I realize these are competition tires, but considering the hp. level I plan on being at when I complete my motor I believe sticky street/comp tires are my best option.

R888
RA1

So far, Toyo has been the best bet for both front/rear tires. I plan to go with:
285/30-18 R
255/35-18 F
I think this offset will give me the best results.

And, the R888 tires are lighter than the Proxes RA1 275/35-18 tire by a couple pounds. This would put each of my rear wheel/tire combo at 46.5 lbs. each with my Enkei RPO-1's.

Just looking for opinions from anyone with experience or know someone using them.

Thanks!

PS: My diesel Megacab has 20" Toyo M/T tires and I've been very happy with them for the past 34K miles. I can probably get another 20K miles out of them--for a heavy 7800 lb. truck this is phenomenal!
