Message 1st - you can get a wiring adapter from Crutchfield that will plug into the connectors for the stock radio, allowing you to integrate without cutting the factory wiring. Use one - they are cheap and you will thank yourself later.

2nd - the wires feeding the bose speakers are actually feeding the amplifiers built in to each speaker enclosure, because each bose speaker is a unit with an amp built in. When I got my car the previous owner was driving these built in bose amps with the speaker outputs of the new Sony head unit. I don't know what the impedance is, but it did work HOWEVER it was too loud and would distort with the volume turned up more than 1/4. I don't recommend this - too easy to blow something.

To me, the bass response of the factory setup is very good for it's size - those bose enclosures are far more responsive than just a speaker in their place. So, if you want to keep using them, you can do 1 of 2 things:

a) use your head units amp pre-outs (RCA). This will be a low level signal that the bose amps can take. Use a standard RCA cable but cut one end off and strip the wires to connect to the factory harness (using the crutchfield adapter!)

b) buy 2 line level converters (2 outputs each, total 4). connect them to the speaker outputs of the head unit and adjust the sensitivity of the adapters to give you the best sound.

Option a is less expensive, but sometimes a head unit will shut off the outputs when you are changing stations or sources - with the Bose amps this can cause an annoying 'pop' noise. Not all head units do this - the Sony I had did.

I really like my setup now - I had to replace the door speakers because of a blown Bose amp, but the rears are still stock and provide great fill. It lacks the punch of a subwoofer, but it's sound quality is great.
