I have searched on this topic and am having a hard time finding an answer. My situation is as follows: The pipes that the stock recircs vent back to in my car have been modified and now the hose from the recirc can dump the air back into the intake beceause the hose is too short. I could try to buy another hose or cut the hose and half and stick a short pipe in there, but my question is, can I just vent the stock recircs into the atmosphere. I have seen it done and heard it and its not too bad, its only going to be temp. Some say it works fine, no problems, but I have also heard that the spring is not stiff enough to close the valve with out the assistance of vacume. Should I be ok just dumping it, or should I throw in a stiffer spring to make the valve close better. Any suggestions. Heres a vid I found of the sound. It doesnt sound to bad. Of course, Im just assuming that it is the recirc dumping. [ http://videos.streetfire.net/video/...like_158449.htm ] Again, I just need this to work for about 3 months. I am in the process of performing my tt swap right now and would just like the get the car running. After I break the motor and clutch in and work out all the little kinks, a set of RFL's will be getting installed. Thanks in advanced for any info.
