so no safety boost for you...but...I believe it changes the timing and fuel map if a code is triggered that puts it into safety. For #2 just rip the old harness out...or leave it and attach the new harness and relocate the sensor...I just did this to mine and it did seem to run better with the new harness and relocated sensor. The EFI harness attaches behind the plenum near the firewall to the knock sensor harness...the sensor itself is under the plenum.
