Went to check oil last night and the dipstick end is missing. I have to assume it has fallen into the engine oil pan somewhere. Yikes
1.Does anyone have a picture of an oil pan that illustrates the inside of the pan and where it might be laying or able to migrate to in the bottom of the pan or the oil sump.
2. How close to the bottom of the pan does the dipstick tube go?
3.Is it possible for this part (dipsticktip) to obstruct the oil sump screen
4.How close to the oil drain hole is the bottom of the dipstick tube
I know the part is aluminum from previous posts.
5. Has anyone successfully recovered this part from the oil pan and if so where was it found and how was it recovered.
6. Has anyone ever had damage to there engine from foreign objects like this in the bottom of there oil pan.
7.Does the oild pump pick up tube create enough suction to lift this part off the floor of the pan.
8. Any opinions on if this tip needs to be removed from the pan or can stay there without any adverse consequences.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
