My Z is detonating. I wasn't able to get any codes so I took it out on the interstate, it happened accellerating onto the on ramp in second about 4000rpm, at about 5psi, but I knew the sensor wouldnt read over 3500 so when I got onto the open road I put it in fift at about 2200rpm, and gave it about 3/4 throttle, sure enough there it was again, no power, and the god awefull noise (this time occured at 4psi, EBC was off) Head home nursing it, at one stoplight in neutral the thing kept going from an idle down to where I thought it was stalled, back up and down etc. get home, check for codes, get a 34 (det sensor), turn the key off and then back on, and now getting a code 55 (everything A-OK). Unfortunately I know everything is not okay, I can hear the damn thing sounding like the motor is falling apart... I called the garage I just got it back from 2 weeks ago which installed the turbo's, new ECU, and doolz, tell him I'm having detonation, I'm not over boosting it, etc. etc. he says.... "well....I guess we could look at it" doesn't inspire much confidence... I know if I take it in they are going to tell me the sensor is bad, charge to replace it and suprise suprise its still detonating, this is where they take my money and say they cant help me... I dont know what the hell to do.
