| When I converted my AT TT to Manual I got a lot more wheel hop. As an auto I could burn off do donuts and that crap all day with no problem. As soon as I put in the manual the car seemed to take off faster but had a huge amount of wheel hop so be prepared for that. Gasket matching is always a great idea especially when the engine is out of the car. I also ported my exhaust ports, exhaust manifolds and polished them. Dont port the intake runners clean them up but do not port them they flow great as they are. My car was stock except for the already mentioned stuff, split downpipes, test pipes, 2.5 catback and 1 piece driveshaft. So, with a manual trans and factory auto turbos but I did install the manual cams my car ran like a raped ape. Even with 265/35/17 toyo T1-s tires that were just short of bald. I spun thru first second and part of third. Here is a list of cars I raced and beat I never lost to anyone. I know there were faster cars in my town but I did not get the opportunity to race them. 69' mustang 351W engine traction bars and 430 gears. 03' mustang 4.6l roush internals and chiped. I particularly liked beating this guy. He always said "the day I get beat by an import is the day I sell my stang and buy a honda". I razzed him a bit after I beat him and made him cry. LOL!!!! 85' Mustang fox body with a built 351 he was easy to beat but a really cool person for a Ford guy. 03' WRX. Not even a challenge. He kept bugging me I said he would lose but I gave in. He said to me afterwards, "I didnt think you would be THAT fast. 04' Subie STI. By far the closest race for me. He had AWD and I spun until 3rd gear but I cought and passed him at the end. And my mechanic friends "Jitterbug" as he called it. Custom Murker xr4ti with a thunderbird supercoupe engine running 20psi. He didnt think there was any way a heavy v6 car could beat him. If you use an aftermarket boost controller you will bypass the factory solenoids so go for it and take them out.
