Trace the starter signal wire and make sure that it did not get pinched between the block and belhousing during your clutch work. I have seen that happen before. Do you have continuity (ohms) from the starter end of the wire to the satrter relay? Do you have voltage signal from the ignition switch to the relay? I bet you have lost your signal between the starter and the output side of the relay. Hope this helps.
