Message Ever since replacing the clutch my starter has not worked via the ignition switch. I have it slap-dicked with a toggle switch going from the positive terminal on the battery to the signal wire on the starter and I've been starting the car like that for 3 months! It blows!

I have used a multimeter to confirm the obvious, the signal wire from the harness is not outputting a signal when the key is turned into the ignition position. I NEVER had a single problem ever with anything like this before dropping the tranny. It was a 1 owner car that hasn't been changed in anyway from stock.

I have tried grounding the clutch safety switch under the pedal and also the neutral safety switch on the transmission with no results. I also tried having both grounded at the same time. I have tried replacing the starter relay in the drivers fender and I've checked every fuse and relay I can find under the hood and all of the ones in front of the battery in the little black box that have clear tops look just fine.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can try or test next?
