Message	tighten it down. It may take some trial and error to find the optimum point. The paint shop did this to me when they removed my rear wiper. The first time I turned my wiper on it wiped the back hatch instead of the rear windshield and left a black smudge mark! Luckily it rubbed off, otherwise they would've been repainting the new paint job again. Anyways, I just took it off and repositioned it as described above and now its positioned fine.
