Fit the spoiler, paint it, then attach it. Mine is screwed on. Remove interior plastic trim pieces on the underside of the hatch, work from inside out, middle toward the ends. You will prob need to do some sanding fitment. I drilled holes in the sheet metal and the spoiler. Be careful if you're going through the sheet metal and then directly into the spoiler cuz the drill will go through the spoiler like butter. Need two sets of hands. You work from the middle out toward the sides. Do the sides of the spoiler last, pull down at the green arrow until the bottom edge of the spoiler is even with the bottom edge of the hatch. Put a screw in at the blue square. If you have things fitted right there should be a little tension with this. 3M makes some permanent body tape that will hold forever, but I like the idea of being able to easily remove mine.
